Books & Crannies hosted their first annual poetry slam Friday evening in Middleburg. Local poets performed for a modest crowd, and each person had the opportunity to perform two pieces. The winner of the evening was Becka Russell of Middleburg. She was awarded a $50 gift card to use at the bookstore.
