This young little child is innocent. Why are there so many ignorant people who have to allow their comments on this to take a political viewpoint. The talent of this child is fantastic. I never voted for GWB in 2000 or in 2004. I voted Democratic in each election. This time I voted Republican because I don't trust Obama, because he is related to both Bush and Cheney. I voted for the life of our America. Obama's comments about what he would do with his own child if she ever got pregnant, was horrible. He would have the pure innocent life executed!

She is an extremely cute, innocent child with a beautiful voice singing a beautiful text. While I commend her, I worry. A professional classical music vocalist and college professor, I hear a technique which is not natural for a child her age. In other words, she very possibly has a teacher who is having her manufacture a vibrato which is much too wide, even for an older child, and is approaching a "wobble": something exhibited by singers who have a worn out vocal apparatus due to a variety of factors. This could eventually lead to vocal fold polyps or nodules. Much of her song features a free, pure sound, indicative of a natural beauty that should be allowed to remain that way, rather than being forced to sound much older than she is. She is a doll with real talent, and I would hate to see her end up following the path which Charlotte Church ended up on and has faded into obscurity.

Saw this child singing on America's Got Talent, too bad it wasn't America's Kids Got talent, she would have had a better chance of taking it all! It's pathetic that somebody has to find fault and make a comparison to her singing to politics. Some people obviously have nothing better to do than criticize a little girl. It is not about politics or political parties. It is about a 4 year old with enough confidence to get up in front of a huge crowd and sing her little heart out. All you negative folks, so drink some more eggnog and fall asleep.

The thing that so amazes me, being a composer, arranger and performer as an avocation, is the almost perfect intonation - so uncommon for one as young as four to be so in-tune with the accompanying instruments. Having heard adults sing, and "make it work" with a slow vibrato, I was reminded of this from this child. I have listened to this video over and over - if not for anything else, to remind myself with a tingle down my back, that innocence (like hope) though frail is hard to kill. Many kudos for little Miss Maher, and may she receive formal training and grow into an inspiring adult vocalist. As for those who bring their hatred of Bush into this matter, you are like lightning repeatedly striking what Bush has been before he did anything as US President - a LIGHTNING ROD. Though far from perfect in his presidency, I have watched you people insult and hound him for no reason, and all the more when reasons seemed to materialize justifying it. But preceding all this - the very heart of the matter - is your hatred of Bush which becomes quite evident as you drag your anti-Bush garbage into the matter of this sweet young girl. You armchair quarterbacks of the Presidency need to GET A LIFE!!!

I too have seen this little girl on TV. She is great. I enjoyed listening to her and the little boy that also sang on the show. She was very easy to listen too and understand, I did notice the shaking in her voice, but you have to take into consideration how cold it was out there. Look at the people wearing coats. I think it was great for her to be able to sing for President Bush, what an Honor. President Bush deserves respect, he has done things for our safety, and chose to do them with his heart. He may not be the best speaker, but he has always been easy to understand as was Reagan. I have already experienced not being able to quite understand all of what Obama is saying. It does a persons heart good to see or hear the talent that these young people share with us. God Bless her family for sharing her talent with us. I feel blessed to be able to listen to Kaitlyn Maher.

THIS LITTLE GIRL IS REMARKABLE. SHE WILL KEEP IT WHOLESOME AS LONG AS HER PARENTS DO THE SAME. CHILDREN LEARN FROM THEIR PEERS. IF HER MOM TEACHES HER WHILE SHES YOUNG, THAT SHE DOESN'T NEED MAKEUP TO BE BEAUTIFUL, SHE WILL NOT PUT A BUNCH ON. BEAUTY IS ONLY SKIN DEEP, BUT UGLY IS TO THE BONE. HER PERSONALITY WILL GET HER FAR IN THIS WORLD, AS LONG AS IT IS A GOOD ONE.

It's always very interesting to me that those who yell the loudest for tolerance and freedom are often also the most intolerant when someone disagrees with them. Other people just like to play the devil's advocate.
This little girl is very sweet. I enjoyed listening to her sing.

I saw her on America's Got Talent, too. My whole family & coworkers were amazed that she could remember the words & tune to all the songs. You cannot look & listen to her without smiling! Just to look at her precious little face & hear her makes me feel happy!!

WHAT A SHAME THAT THIS WONDERFUL LITTLE GIRL HAD NEGATIVE REMARKS.
SHE HAS A BEAUTIFUL GIFT OF A VOICE SO SWEET IT TOUCHED MY HEART. IT IS THE DATE MY MOM DIED IN 1949 AND IT WAS A MIRACLE FOR ME.
GOD BLESS HER AND AMERICA.

Yes, you have your right of opinion, but did your mother ever teach you that if you couldn't say something nice don't say it!!!

Some people obviously have nothing better to do than criticize a little girl. It is not about politics or political parties. It is about a 4 year old with enough confidence to get up in front of a huge crowd and sing her little heart out. All you negative folks, so drink some more eggnog and fall asleep.

TIHS LITTLE ANGEL IS EXACTLY PERFECT AT 4 YRS OLD WITH, YES, ENOUGH CONFIDENCE TO SING FOR EVERYONE AND THE PRESIDENT - HER TALENT IS A BLESSING TO EVERYONE THAT HEARS HER - more people should just listen and stop thinking up stuff 'ENJOY THE MOMENT, YOU MIGHT NEVER GET ANOTHER' .... Thanks Be To My/Your God - :)

This girl is indeed a sweet angel who has talent. She is the only one who needs to be commented about here. What has happened to our hearts as people. Most negative comments don't even have correct spelling or grammer in them. Makes me wonder who's on the other end.

Hobbitt writes...The Von Trap family refused to sing for Hitler, this little girl's parents must be Bush Nazis, or just naive. I wonder if she will learn to sing in Swahili for next year's Kenyan Christmas at the non-citizen Obama White House?
Hey, Hobbitt....Have you paid your ACLU dues?
It's sad that everyone doesn't do this on Christmas, Thank God, for her ability,
Thank God! ! ! and....
God Bless Our America

WOW, I can not believe all this political nonsense about a 4 year old singing about Christmas re the birth of Jesus.
Definitely some of you need to go to a group and vent your anger cause it cannot be at her!

Most of you are making this about politics, and/or that idiot calling himself hobbit1. Just ignore all this and keep it about this little girl. It takes alot of courage to get up in front of all these people and sing. Hopefully she doesn't turn out like Miley Cyrus, all big headed and stuck on herself.

I first heard part of that song in "Good Morning Vietnam" sung by a great man of different color than myself and it brought a tear then as it did again now, almost forty years latter. Thank you Kaitlyn for reminding me why I was willing to die for this great country. Your beauty and childlike innocence is a Blessing to all of us from God.
