Several Loudoun area teams and athletes competed for state titles on the final weekend of the spring sports season, and Washington Post photographers were there to capture the emotions of an eventful weekend.
Loudoun Valley made quick work of First Colonial, breezing into the Virginia AAA state semifinals with a 5-1 victory at Ida Lee Park in Leesburg.
