Banneker Elementary in Middleburg was one of the quieter polling places in Loudoun County on Tuesday morning. With no lines and plenty of volunteers on hand, voters were able to breeze in and out of the school cafeteria with plenty of time left over to stop by the bake sale on the way out of the building. By10:30 a.m., more than 500 voters had cast their ballots in precinct 308, and officials said they expected the strong turnout to continue throughout the day. Read story »
