Pit bull dog lovers and their canine companions demonstrated in front of the Loudoun County Courthouse on May 5 against the county's adoption policy that they say discriminates against pit bull breeds.
Twinkie, a four-month-old pit bull mix, came to the demonstration with Stephanie Perkins and is up for adoption through the Middleburg Humane Foundation.

Authorities have confirmed that the 20-year-old man found dead inside a Leesburg house Monday died of bites from two adult pit bulls.
