Jay Sine, Gina Harrison and Barb DaCardona, three pediatric nurses at Inova Loudoun Hospital, have earned a new designation: "Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurses." The Hospital Fight Comes to a Head: One of Loudoun County’s most contentious issues in decades brought out posters, protesters and hundreds of residents for hearings on plans for a new hospital. The HCA Virginia proposal for a 164-bed hospital in Broadlands faced opposition from neighbors and nearby Inova Loudoun Hospital. The Planning Commission voted 5 to 4 in favor of the proposal, and the Board of Supervisors has until May to make its decision.

On Thursday, December 11, eight United Airline Pilots visited the pediatric patients at Inova Loudoun Hospital. As a part of the Pilots For Kids program, the patients were given toys, airplane trading cards, and wings. These Dulles-based pilots were making their second annual visit to Inova Loudoun Hospital.
