Loudoun County residents raised nearly $30,000 for the arts during a live and silent art auction April 10 at Leesburg’s Thomas Birkby House.
Morven Park Equestrian Center in Leesburg hosted the Spring Horse Trials last Saturday.

Fernando Beltran y Puga, 39, of Ashburn, grew up in Mexico and eventually found his way working in the Loudoun area. A lifetime fan of film, he decided to make his own movies. His directorial-debut film, "Terminal," was greeted with awards and rave reviews from critics. Beltran y Puga sat down with LoudounExtra.com to discuss "Terminal," his passion for film and life in Loudoun.

The Piedmont Singers of Middleburg is in their tenth year of existence, and is preparing for a trip to the Canterbury Cathedral in August as a visiting choir. Under the guidance of Founding Conductor Wendy Oesterling, the singers have been rehearsing for the event since January.
