As long as it's cheaper to live in Loudoun than in NYC, salaries will reflect that. AOL already has a strong, well-educated work force in place. AOL would be foolish to ditch all that to move someplace else. NYC may be where the advertising world is, so it makes sense they executive team would want to be near that marketplace. NoVa is still a hotbed for technology which is the backbone of the company.
AOL is first and foremost a technology company. As long as that remains true, the people in Dulles will have to stay here.
