St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church welcome message:
"At our parish, every First Friday we have the privilege of praying before the Most Blessed Sacrament from 12:30pm to 8:30am Saturday. All are welcome and encourage to spend a Holy Hour with Jesus present in the Blessed Sacrament exposed on the altar every First Friday of the month. The sign up sheet is located in the Narthex.
Eucharistic Adoration will increase Jesus’ divine life within you and deepen your personal relationship with Him. All are welcome to drop in, “make a visit”, experience the peace that passeth understanding. Please feel free to use the books and pamphlets available. It is the adorer committed to one hour a month that cements our efforts to make Eucharistic Adoration possible. St. Francis de Sales parish is blessed to have a core of faithful adorers that keep their appointed vigils.
Our goal is to; give glory to God, be a light before men, be an intercessor, and reaffirm our belief in the “Real Presence” of Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament. What is really exciting is that your prayer is joined with so many other adorers all around the world, making a real “powerhouse” of prayer to our Lord.
Jesus was in the stern, asleep on a cushion. They woke him and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” He woke up, rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Quiet! Be still!” The wind ceased and there was great calm. Mark 4:39
How many times have we felt as though we too were perishing? This world can seem similar to the sea, just as the evil of the world can seem like the wind blowing us out of control. Because we are part of the world, we must hear the words “Quiet! Be still!” Eucharistic Adoration is how we do this. We must ask Christ, in His presence to help us. The wind will cease and there will be great calm."
Mission statement: "St. Francis de Sales taught that God's grace is present to us at all times. We respond to our vocation as a holy people of God by leading those among us to God's presence in our worship, in our Christian formation, by our gifts of time, talent and treasure, and through Christian service."
