At Christian Faith and Fellowship School, students from pre-kindergarten to grade 12 receive an education grounded in Christian principles.

“We’re a Christian school, so we offer not just academic robustness and athletic robustness but spiritual nourishment,” school administrator Kevin Jeter said. “We build Christian character alongside academic education.”

A fellowship of Christian Fellowship Church in Ashburn, Christian Fellowship School has been part of the Loudoun County community since the 1980s. Beginning in the 2007--2008 school year, the school is combining with Faith Christian School. Faith Christian School, an outreach of the Sterling-based Faith Bible Church, will migrate to the Christian Fellowship Church’s campus.

The school provides its students with state-of-the-art information technology access, combining best practices from Loudoun County and Fairfax County public schools, Jeter said. In addition to encouraging students to use technology to enhance their learning, the school employs a technology specialist dedicated to educating the teachers on how to best integrate computers and technology into their lessons.

Music and art are offered at all grade levels. The music program includes both vocal and instrumental music, and students perform at a variety of school events. In addition to performing at holiday celebrations, students participate in music competitions across the region.

Extracurricular activities include sports, which are competitive at both the upper and middle grade levels. Christian Fellowship School competes in the Northern Virginia
Independent Athletic Conference. Students can compete in soccer, basketball, baseball and volleyball. Other schools in the area that do not have available facilities use Christian Fellowship School’s athletic facilities, Jeter said.

Parent involvement is mostly coordinated through the parent-teacher fellowship. The parent-teacher fellowship organizes activities to encourage a sense of community at the school as well as helps raise funds to support the school’s various needs. Some families are members of Christian Fellowship Church; many families, however, attend other churches in the area.

Although there is no school nurse on duty, all teachers receive first-aid and CPR training. Many of the teachers also are trained to act as counselors to assist students with their spiritual and emotional needs.
