"Making disciples of Christ who are winning, growing and serving."

Chantilly Bible Church in Chantilly was founded in 1979 by the Rev. Steve Austin. The church began as a Bible study and continued to grow throughout the years. The congregation first met at Greenbriar West Elementary School in Fairfax. In 1988, the church held its services at a restored barn in Herndon before finally moving to its present location on Pleasant Valley Road 14 years later.

Worship services are held every Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. The last service at 11:15 a.m. is primarily for the church’s Chinese congregation, though all are welcome to attend. Church administrator Jesse Pirocchi described the services as a blend of traditional and contemporary, featuring a men’s ensemble, praise band, hymns, testimonies of faith and verse-by-verse teachings of the Bible grounded in the essential truths of Scripture.

“We try to praise God through songs,” Pirocchi said.

The church considers itself as a “New Testament” place of worship with an emphasis “on the kind of faith that doesn’t seem logical to others.”

Pirocchi explained Chantilly Bible does not take a collection plate or hold fundraisers as “God has always provided” for the church’s needs and the needs of others.

“We don’t take a collection plate because we don’t want people here for the money,” he said. “But God wants them to be givers.”

Members are able to give back in other ways. The youth group, geared toward middle and high school students, takes part in mission trips and volunteer work. In past years, they have traveled to Alaska, New York and the Virgin Islands. In addition to service projects, the youth group also participates in ski trips, social gatherings, weekly meetings and summer retreats.
