In September, these five teachers from Loudoun's Seneca Ridge Middle School were among 60 educators who went on a flight that simulated zero gravity. Participating in a program sponsored by Northrop Grumman, they levitated inside the belly of a Boeing 757 and got a sampling of the training that astronauts undergo before space missions. They dubbed themselves the Seneca 5 and stitched the school emblem, a yellow thunderbolt, onto their flight suits. View photo »
