With senior ace Cole Shain on the hill, the Broad Run Spartans were looking to bounce back from a heart-breaking 5-4 loss to Brentsville in Friday’s Region II championship game. Instead, the host Powhatan Indians jumped all over the Spartans, racing out to an 11-1 lead after two innings and never looking back, winning a weather-shortened game by a 12-6 margin. Read story »
