The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch in Loudoun County through Wednesday morning. This replaces the earlier flash flood warning.
Many roadways in the county still remain impassable, and the Loudoun Sheriff’s reminds motorists not to drive through standing water if they find themselves in potential flash flood conditions. Water may be much deeper than it appears, which could cause a vehicle to stall or to get stuck in hidden debris.
The area saw between 2 and 3 inches of heavy rain overnight.
