Crime Blotter: Destruction of Property, Thefts

Authorities are investigating the destruction of property in Sterling and Hamilton, according to a daily report from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

- Theft from a Vehicle: Unknown subjects entered a vehicle by damaging a passenger window on the 45500 block of East Severn Way in Sterling between 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and 5:20 a.m. Thursday. A GPS unit was removed from the vehicle.

- Destruction of Property: Unknown subjects damaged the rear window of a vehicle on the 46500 block of Hampshire Station Drive in Sterling at 5:56 p.m. Thursday.

- Theft from a Vehicle: Unknown subjects entered a vehicle on the 22800 block of Oakgrove Road in Sterling and removed a GPS unit between 11 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

- Destruction of Property: Unknown subjects threw an object at a window causing damage on the 20300 block of White Oak Drive in Potomac Falls at 12:15 p.m. Saturday.

- Theft from a Vehicle: Unknown subjects entered a vehicle by damaging a passenger window on the 46600 block of Winchester Drive in Sterling between 8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday.

- Burglary/Destruction of Property: Unknown subjects rang the doorbell of a residence on the 18700 block of Ward Hill Road in Hamilton between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday. The homeowners then heard a window break. No entry was gained.

- Theft/Destruction of Property: Unknown subjects entered two vehicles by damaging windows on the 100 block of East Meadowland Lane and Greencastle Road in Sterling between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Saturday. Inside they removed two laptops, a computer bag and computer accessories.

The subject continued to ask to be let in, but fled the scene prior to authorities being contacted. The subject was described as a dark-skinned white male, 6’ tall, and wearing a white t-shirt and jeans. A window was damaged.
