Lab Was Dazed and Confused

ASHBURN, Hay Rd., March 21. A black Labrador retriever was reported to be running loose and acting disoriented. An officer who found the dog walking in circles and salivating took it to a veterinarian, who said it appeared to be in good condition and was probably confused about its surroundings. A short time later, the owner, who had reported the dog missing, reclaimed it.

Injured Fox Is Euthanized

ALDIE, Braddock Rd., March 21. An officer responding to a report of an injured fox found that the animal had an injury to its side. The fox was taken to the animal shelter and euthanized.

Cat Freed From Attic

LEESBURG, Bristow Manor Dr., March 21. A cat was reported to be stuck in an attic space above a garage. An officer found the cat, which appeared healthy and uninjured, and took it to the animal shelter. A matching missing report was found, and the owner reclaimed the cat.

Ailing Skunk Seen at Dumpster

LEESBURG, Meadowview Ct., Sunday. Animal control received a report of a skunk that had been near a dumpster all day and that was later seen lying and twitching. It was euthanized.

Dogs' Owner Gets a Warning

LEESBURG, Barnfield Sq., Tuesday. A dachshund and a husky were reported to be running loose. An officer who located the dogs was able to identify them. They were returned home, and the owner was issued a warning about letting dogs run free.
