The War of 1812 Comes to Loudoun County
This Saturday, re-enactors from the War of 1812 will fill the historic Lanesville House at Claude Moor Park in Sterling. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the soldiers will demonstrate military and civilian life, and describe how the war affected northern Virginia.
It is speculated that the Lanesville House, which was an "ordinary" (place for travelers to sleep) in the early 1800s – was built during the 1700s.
Tickets to the reenactment are $3 per person. To contact Claude Moor Park, call 571-258-3700.
