A man was found dead inside a Leesburg townhouse yesterday afternoon, and police said they were investigating the death as suspicious.

The man was 44 years old, and his name was not released pending notification of his family. Lt. Jeffrey A. Dube of the Leesburg police said someone who was not in the residence called 911 about 2:54 p.m. The man was found in a townhouse in the 100 block of Adams Drive NE, in the Heritage Square development, Dube said.

The circumstances of the man’s death and his injuries were not released, and Dube said he could not discuss why the case was considered suspicious. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Leesburg police at 703-771-4500.
