Hill Tom Market was struck for a second time in less than a month by an armed robber Thursday night, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff's Office is investigating the case and has released surveillance video stills of the robbery.
Around 7:46 p.m. Thursday a suspect entered the convenience store, located on Route 9 in the Town of Hillsboro, and brandished a firearm, demanding money from the cashier. The suspect then fled from the store on foot and appeared to head east on the south side of Route 9.
In the surveillance video from the scene, the suspect appears to be wearing a camouflaged hunting-style hood, a blue jacket and dark pants. Loudoun County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene and searched the area with assistance from the agency’s K9 Unit and with aerial support provided by a Fairfax County Police Department helicopter unit. The suspect was not found.
