Authorities are investigating a case of impersonating law enforcement in Sterling and a burglary case in South Riding, according to a daily report by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
Burglary: Around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, someone entered a residence in the 25800 block of Commons Square in South Riding and removed a laptop, jewelry and a digital camera. A rear door was damaged to gain entry.
Impersonating Law Enforcement: Around 4:20 p.m. Wednesday, Hassan Oveysi, 30, of South Riding, was charged with impersonating a police officer and identity fraud. Oveysi allegedly called a residence in the 45500 block of Lakemont Square in Sterling claiming to be a Loudoun police officer. He was being held on a $5000 bond.

Attempted Burglary/Destruction of Property: Between 4 a.m. and noon Wednesday, someone appeared to gain entry into a residence in the 100 block of Evergreen Street in Sterling through a rear door. The gate to their backyard was also found open. No entry was gained, though.
