Crime Blotter: Burglary, Larceny

Authorities are investigating two cases of larceny in Sterling, along with a case of burglary in Ashburn, according to a daily report from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

- Burglary: A person reported their laptop was missing from their home in the 21500 block of Iredell Terrace in Ashburn at 5:45 a.m. Wednesday. There were no signs of forced entry and no other items were removed.

- Larceny from a Vehicle: Between the hours of 1 p.m. Wednesday and noon Thursday, someone entered a vehicle in Redlin Court in Sterling and removed a GPS unit.

- Weapon Violation: A deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle for running a red light at the intersection of East Beech Road and Argonne Avenue in Sterling at 6:16 p.m. Thursday. The driver, Jose Hernandez-Murillo, 21, of no fixed address, was found to be operating the vehicle without a driver's license. A search of the vehicle located a knife and a machete. The man has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon, driving without a license and disregarding a red light. He was being held on a $1,500 bond.

- Larceny: Between the hours of 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and 6:20 a.m. Thursday, someone entered a vehicle in Berkeley Court in Sterling and removed a GPS unit.
