Authorities are investigating two suspicious events in Ashburn and Leesburg, along with a case of assault in Sterling, according to a daily report from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

- Assault: A 31-year-old woman reported she was approached and assaulted by another woman Sunday between 8 p.m and 9 p.m. at Algonkian Park in Sterling. The suspect was described as a White female with long dark hair, large in stature and was wearing a yellow and white-striped tank top.

- Destruction of Property/Larceny: Between 4 p.m. Tuesday and 6:41 a.m. Wednesday, someone entered a vehicle in the 46800 block of Northbrook Way in Sterling. by damaging a window and removed an MP3 player.

- Destruction of Property/Larceny: Between 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday, someone entered a vehicle in the 21700 block of Pinewood Court in Sterling by damaging a window and removed an MP3 player.

- Suspicious Event: Around midnight Wednesday, a resident reported hearing a noise in their garage and discovered a White man in the garage. The home is located in the 20200 block of Kiawah Island Drive in Ashburn. The man, possibly a juvenile, fled in a dark pick-up truck. Authorities seached the area but neither the vehicle nor the man were located.

- Suspicious Event: A person reported a possible unlawful entry into their residence between the hours of 9:45 p.m. Wednesday and midnight Thursday in the 42700 block of Big Spruce Square in Leesburg. There were no signs of forced entry and nothing was removed from the home.

- Auto Tampering: Someone gained entry into a vehicle and attempted to removed a car stereo around 2:45 a.m. Thursday in the 600 Block of West Beech Road in Sterling. The victim interrupted the crime while it was in progress and observed the suspect fleeing the area. A search of the area was conducted with the assistance of a K9 unit but the person was not located. The subject was described as a Hispanic man in his early twenties, wearing a red and pink long sleeve striped shirt and blue jeans.
