Authorities are looking for a fourth suspect in an assault by mob/abduction case and are investigating an incident of a person trying to obtain money by false pretenses, according to a daily report by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
- Assault by Mob/Abduction: Deputies responded to the Candlewood Suites Hotel in the 45500 block of Severn Way in Sterling at 2:28 a.m. Monday for a report of two women who had been assaulted by several subjects. The two victims said that as they were walking through the hotel, they were confronted by several subjects. A female subject struck one of the victims; one of the male subjects grabbed one of the victims, touched her inappropriately and ripped her shirt. Three of the four subjects have been located and identified: Mark A. Smith, 33, of Leesburg was charged with abduction with intent to defile, sexual battery and assault by mob. Michael A. Smith, 33, of Leesburg was charged with assault by mob. Bronton A. Moore, 27, of Ashburn was charged with assault by mob. The female subject has not been located.
- Obtain Money by False Pretenses: Around 8:23 p.m. Wednesday, a complainant in the 20400 block of Elm Grove Terrace in Ashburn reported that a subject came to the door of their residence allegedly raising money for volunteer firefighters. The local Ashburn Company 6 is currently collecting money, but the subject is not believed to be a member. The subject left the scene before law enforcement officers showed up.

- Destruction of Property: Graffiti was located on the playground equipment and basketball court in the 20070 block of Medalist Drive in Ashburn. A mailbox and portion of the basketball court appeared burned. The incident took place between 7 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday. The information was forwarded to the Loudoun County Gang Intelligence Unit, although the graffiti does not appear gang-related.
- Larceny: Between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday, unknown subjects entered a vehicle and removed a GPS unit in the 21100 block of Sundial Court in Ashburn.
- Larceny: Between 9 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday, unknown subjects entered a vehicle in the 21100 block of Stonecrop Place in Ashburn and removed a small amount of cash.
- Tampering with a Vehicle: Between 4 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. Thursday, unknown subjects entered two vehicles, one in the 21100 block of Stonecrop Place and the other in the 43500 block of Barley Court in Ashburn, and rummaged through their interiors. Nothing was removed.
- Larceny/Resisting Arrest: At 4 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to Walmart at the intersection of Atlantic and Nokes boulevards in Sterling for a report of a subject who removed a wallet from a shopping cart. The subject then allegedly attempted to use a credit card from the wallet. A sheriff's deputy approached the subject, who refused to comply with the officer's commands. A foot chase ensued, and the subject ran across Route 28, nearly being struck by a vehicle. Deputies were able to catch the suspect, but he continued to struggle. He was eventually restrained and taken into custody.
Michael Anthony Doss, 43, was charged with credit card theft, destruction of property, larceny, false identity to law enforcement, assault and battery, credit card fraud and preventing law enforcement from making arrest. He remains held without bond.
- Missing Person: Around midnight on Thursday, deputies were called to the 43600 block of Bermuda Dunes Terrace in Leesburg for a report of a missing 83-year-old woman with dementia. A search of the area was conducted by the Fairfax County Police Department helicopter and a bloodhound unit. The woman was found, just before the reverse 911 system was activated. She was located walking in the area of Fairway Oaks and Eagle Point. She did not require medical treatment.
