The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for Loudoun County from 2 p.m. today through late this evening.

A severe thunderstorm watch is also in effect through 8 p.m. tonight. Scattered heavy thunderstorms are expected to develop late this afternoon and into the evening. Rainfall of up to one inch is likely.
