Authorities are investigating the theft of a carry-on trailer and several instances of thefts from vehicles, according to a daily report from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

- Larceny from Vehicle/Destruction of Property: An MP3 player was taken and the passenger side window damaged on a vehicle in the 100 block of St. Johns Square in Sterling. The incident occurred between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. yesterday.

- Larceny from Vehicle/Destruction of Property: A GPS unit was taken from a vehicle in the 18200 block of Mill Spring Court in Leesburg between 10:30 p.m. Tuesday and 8:15 a.m. yesterday. The driver's side window was damaged during the incident.
