The 10th annual Lucketts Spring Market, an antiques bazaar hosted by the Old Lucketts Store, attracted hundreds of visitors and bargain hunters last weekend to the grounds of the Lucketts Community Center.

Shoppers browsed the offerings of over a hundred vendors, including both experienced antiques dealers and amateur individuals selling their own collections.

Vendors' tents weren't the only things occupying the five acres of market space; a row of concessions stands and large barbecue smoker added a savory scent to the air and turned the shopping event into a local festival.

In the middle of it all bluegrass bands played while families sat around on shaded tables and ate crab cakes, popcorn, and other snacks.

For many shoppers' young children, the community center's playground proved a far more exciting attraction than the sea of antiques, while a few shopping-weary adults took the opportunity to set up camping chairs and watch the day unfold.
