Families came out this weekend for the start of the annual Loudoun County Fair.
On Sunday, children participated in a corn-on-the-cob eating contest and rode rides, while others showed off their animals. The fair will also feature favorite events such as the Demolition Derby and Kiss-a-Pig contest, along with an extreme cyclists show.
The 2009 Loudoun County Fair will remain open now through Aug. 1.
