Crime Blotter: Stabbing, Malicious Wounding

Authorities are investigating a stabbing and gang participation case as well as a malicious wounding case in Sterling, according to a daily report by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Destruction of Property: Between 1:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. Thursday, someone vandalized a vehicle in the 45500 block of Majestic Drive in Sterling.

Larceny: Between 9:20 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, someone entered a vehicle in the 43400 block of Cedar Pond Place in Chantilly and removed an MP3 player and cash.

Larceny: Between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday, someone entered a vehicle in the 22040 block of Avonworth Square in Ashburn and removed a wallet.

Destruction of Property: Between 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and 2 p.m. Thursday, someone spray painted a mailbox in the 11700 block of Armistead Filler Lane in Lovettsville.

Larceny/Destruction of Property: Around 4 a.m. Thursday, someone entered two vehicles in the 21180 block of Vineland Square in Ashburn and removed a GPS unit from one of the cars.

Larceny: Between 12:01 a.m. and noon Friday, someone entered a vehicle in the 43000 block of Demerrit Street in Chantilly and removed a GPS unit.

Larceny: Between 10:30 p.m. Tuesday and 1 p.m. Thursday, someone removed three crates of peaches from a farm trailer in the 15500 block of James Monroe Highway in Leesburg.

Larceny from a Vehicle: Between 10:45 p.m. and 11 p.m. Thursday, someone entered a vehicle in the 20430 block of Tappahannock Place in Sterling and removed a GPS unit, sunglasses and binoculars.

Larceny/Destruction of Property: Between 10:30 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday, someone entered a vehicle in the 40740 block of Beechnut Road in Sterling and removed cash and a CD case. A window was damaged to gain entry. A second vehicle in the 40540 block of Tim Tam Court in Leesburg was located with its window damaged. A third vehicle in the 40550 block of Black Gold Place in Leesburg was found with its driver's side window damaged and was missing a GPS unit.

Malicious Wounding: Around 10:10 p.m. Saturday, a man approached a group in the 20300 block of Center Brook Square in Sterling that were having a party for Independence Day. The man became upset with the group over a game and struck a 28-year-old Sterling man. The victim was first taken to the Lansdowne Campus of INOVA Loudoun Hospital but was later airlifted to INOVA Fairfax Hospital for serious injuries. Jacob Allen Webb, 25, of Chantilly, was charged with aggravated assault, public intoxication and disorderly conduct. He remains held without bond.

Stabbing/Gang Participation: Around 10:50 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to an area around Whitcomb Square in Sterling for a report of a possible fight. Upon arrival, they found a victim who was suffering from lacerations consistent with a stabbing. The person was airlifted to INOVA Fairfax Hospital for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. A description of the suspects was obtained and a lookout was posted. Two suspects matching their descriptions were found by deputies responding to the scene. An investigation into the incident led to the arrest of the men who were identified as Jose E. Salmeron-Zelayandai, 20, and Carlos Hernandez-Trochez, 20, both of Sterling. The two were both charged with malicious wounding and gang participation. They remain held without bond and have federal detainers placed against them.

Destruction of Property: Around 3 a.m. Sunday, someone damaged a vehicle window in the 21380 block of Clappertown Drive in Ashburn.

Larceny: Between noon Saturday and 6 p.m. Sunday, someone entered a vehicle in the 40300 block of Spectacular Bid Place in Leesburg and removed a GPS unit.

Larceny: Between 11 p.m. and 11:20 p.m. Sunday, someone removed a beach bag containing several pairs of shoes from a rear patio of a residence in the 25500 block of Hussar Terrace in South Riding.

Jose E. Salmeron-Zelayandai, 20, and Carlos Hernandez-Trochez, 20 not gang related at all? Deport them and tax their families into the poor house.
