Authorities are investigating a report of an unlawful entry in Sterling and several instances of destruction of property, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Larceny from a Vehicle: A GPS unit was taken from a vehicle in the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue in Sterling between 8:15 p.m. on Sunday and 5 a.m. Monday. The driver's side window was damaged to gain entry.

Destruction of Property/Larceny: A GPS unit and a camera were taken from a vehicle in the 21000 block of Alberta Terrace in Sterling between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m yesterday. The driver's side window was damaged during the incident.

Destruction of Property: Several wood posts of a fence on King Street in Hamilton were knocked down sometime between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. yesterday.

Destruction of Property: A resident in the 20600 block of Emerald Point Terrace in Sterling reported hearing a loud noise at the front door of their residence around 11 p.m. yesterday. It was later discovered that damage had been done to the door, possibly caused by a brick.

Unlawful Entry: Around 3 a.m. today an employee of Henry's Wrecker Service in the 44820 block of Old Ox Road in Sterling heard a noise coming from the garage area and saw a White man inside. He fled the scene towards Old Ox Road. The subject was described as being 6-feet tall, with a medium build, brown hair, and wearing a red T-shirt and jeans. Nothing was reported missing from the business.
