An Ashburn family of five was displaced this morning after a fire started in their townhouse.
The Loudoun County Emergency Communications Center received a call just before 9 a.m. today about a fire at 21200 Hedgerow Terrace. Several residents were home at the time the fire broke out but were able to safely evacuate. They are currently making arrangements for temporary housing with the American Red Cross.
Fire-Rescue crews were on the scene for three hours completing salvage and overhaul. No civilians were injured. However, a firefighter suffered a laceration to the hand and was treated on the scene.
The incident remains under investigation by the Loudoun County Fire Marshal’s Office.
