Authorities are investigating an attempted malicious wounding in Herndon and a suspicious event in Sterling, according to a daily report from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
- Theft: A resident reported that cash was removed from their residence on the 19300 block of Cypress Ridge Terrace in Lansdowne between 5:13 p.m. Monday and 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence.
- Attempted Malicious Wounding: A Herndon man reported he was nearly struck by a vehicle in a parking lot on the 43700 block of Partlow Road in Ashburn at 12:51 a.m. Tuesday. The vehicle was a newer model Honda Accord that is silver in color.
- Suspicious Event: A resident reported hearing someone banging at the door of their residence on the 46900 block of Shady Point Square in Sterling at 4:53 a.m. Wednesday. Two subjects were seen running from the area.
