A convenience store in Hillsboro was robbed at gunpoint on Thursday evening, according to a release by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
Around 7:40 p.m. Thursday, an unknown subject entered the Hill Tom Market located on Route 9, brandished a firearm and demanded money from the cashier.
The suspect, whose face was covered, is described as possibly being a white male, 5-foot-7, with a thin build. At the time of hte crime, he was wearing dark pants and a dark jacket. It is unclear which direction the suspect fled. Loudoun County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene, and the area was searched with assistance from the agency’s K9 Unit.
If you have information regarding the identity of the suspect or if you saw anything suspicious in this area around the time of the incident, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office asks that you call the Criminal Investigations Division at 703-777-0475. If callers wish to remain anonymous, they are asked to contact Loudoun Crime Solvers at 703-777-1919. If the information leads to an arrest and indictment, the caller could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
