Our Savior's Way Lutheran Church will have its second annual chili cook-off from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free, and everyone is invited to bring chili to be entered in the contest. The 10:30 a.m. service Sunday at the Unitarian Universalists of Sterling is called "Gather the Spirit" and will kick off the annual stewardship campaign. Beth Chaverim Reform Congregation and Congregation Sha'are Shalom invite the women and girls of Loudoun County to Miriam's Seder from 2 to 4 p.m. March 22 at Beth Chaverim, 21740 Beaumeade Cir., Suite 100, Ashburn. The seder will use a Hagaddah that expands the Passover theme of liberation to encompass women's experiences in Egypt and the Exodus. The cost is $8. Sterling United Methodist Church is collecting books, summer clothes, sports equipment and school, church, medical and building supplies for the Marshall Islands through March 31.
