Permanent changes to traffic patterns have been made on Route 7 in Tysons Corner to allow for construction of a Tysons Central Metrorail station as part of the Dulles corridor rail project.
The changes were made at the intersection of Route 7, Marshalls Drive (which leads to the Marshalls store) and the frontage road.
Traffic entering Route 7 from Marshalls Drive or the frontage road now has to turn right. Drivers may not turn from Marshalls Drive onto westbound Route 7 or from the frontage road onto eastbound Route 7. Also, drivers on Marshalls Drive or the frontage road may not cross Route 7.
Construction of the Tysons Central station is scheduled to be completed in 2013.
