Crime Blotter: Assault, Robbery

Authorities are investigating a robbery at a Lucketts Mini Mart where a man brandished a firearm and demanded cash Wednesday night, according to a daily report by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Destruction of Property: Between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday, someone spray painted graffiti on a sidewalk in the 40600 block of Lenah Run Circle in Aldie. The graffiti does not appear to be gang related.

Assault: Between 3:40 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, a 21-year-old man was riding his bicycle in the 60 block of Sugarland Run Drive in Sterling when he was grabbed and assaulted by someone. Deputies searched the scene and the suspect was identified as Estevan Contreras-Guerrero, 29, of Sterling. Contreras-Guerrero was charged with assault and was being held on a $1000 bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.

Robbery: Around 11:55 p.m. Wednesday, a White man entered the Lucketts Mini Mart in the 14420 block of James Monroe Highway in Lucketts and brandished a firearm. The suspect left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was described as being 18 to 25 years old, 175 to 200 pounds, 5-feet-10-inches to 6-feet tall and was wearing a black zipper-style hooded sweatshirt. Anyone with information regarding the possible identity of the suspect is asked to contact the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at 703-777-0475. If the caller wishes to remain anonymous they are asked to call Loudoun Crime Solvers at 703-777-1919. If the information leads to an arrest and indictment, the caller could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000.

Strong Arm Robbery: Around 2 a.m. Thursday, a resident in the 43600 block of Scarlet Square in South Riding heard people in his backyard. He saw two people, one of whom was wearing a mask and fled the area. A 17-year-old boy said he was in the area when he was approached by someone who took $10 from him. The incident remains under investigation.
