Sterling United Methodist Church will begin a seven-week sermon series Sunday titled "Breaking Free — Seven Deadly Sins," looking at behaviors that threaten well-being and identifying ways to break free of them. A program of Jewish lunch-and-learn studies with rabbis from western Fairfax and Loudoun counties will continue at noon Wednesday and April 29. All sessions are brown-bag lunches and will be in Sterling, near Dulles International Airport. There is no charge, but reservations are necessary. St. James' Episcopal Church is hosting a six-week interfaith series, "Six Voices, Six Faiths," on Thursdays from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursdays, starting next week and ending May 28. Each week, the leader of a local congregation will discuss the beliefs, practices and sacred texts of his or her faith. The series is co-sponsored by Loudoun Interfaith Bridges. The series open to the public, but registration is required and a $25 contribution per person is suggested to help defray program costs.
