Authorities are investigating a robbery in Ashburn, and a burglary in Aldie, according to a daily report from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.
- Ashburn Robbery: A victim reported being assaulted and robbed of his wallet and cell phone by several subjects on the 43300 block of Hay Road in Ashburn between 2:40 a.m. and 3:03 a.m. Thursday. The case is being investigated by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division.
- Theft: Unknown subjects entered a vehicle by damaging a passenger window, and removed a GPS unit on the 1200 block of North Amelia Street in Sterling between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30 a.m. Thursday.
- Attempted Robbery: An unknown subject entered a CVS pharmacy on the 42900 block of Eastern Kingbird Plaza in Ashburn and demanded prescription pills at 8:06 a.m. Thursday. The suspect implied he had a weapon. The suspect fled the store without taking any items. The case is being investigated by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Criminal Investigations Division.
- Auto Theft: Unknown subjects removed a 1992 Honda Civic that was parked in front of a residence on the 1000 block of North Sterling Boulevard in Sterling between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday. Upon entering the vehicle as stolen, the vehicle was reported recovered in Montgomery County, Md.
- Theft: Unknown subjects removed a touch screen computer from the Black Olive restaurant on 18900 block of Upper Belmont Place in Lansdowne at 5:23 a.m. Thursday. There were no signs of forced entry into the business.
- Destruction of Property: An unknown subject was observed by the complainant spray painting a mailbox on the 44000 block of Pipeline Plaza in Ashburn at 4:17 p.m. Thursday. The suspect was described as a white male, early 20's, with acne and reddish brown hair. He was further described as wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. The suspect was driving an older model gold Toyota Corolla. There is no indication that the incident was gang-related.
- Burglary: Unknown subjects entered a residence and removed cash from the 41800 block of Cordgrass Circle in Aldie between 4:45 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. Thursday. There were no signs of forced entry.
