Stone Bridge racked up 443 yards of offense against host Loudoun Valley Friday night, scoring 57 points in the first half on their way to a 64-13 win.
Loudoun Valley attempted five trick plays, one of which resulted in a 58-yard touchdown pass on a fake punt. The rest backfired, giving third-ranked Stone Bridge great field position. Stone Bridge's average starting position was at the Loudoun Valley 42-yard line, while Loudoun Valley's average drive started at their 21.
Stone Bridge quarterback Patrick Thompson threw for 194 yards and four touchdowns, and rushed for 53 yards. The Bulldogs were also led by running back Daniel Allen's 106 rushing yards for three touchdowns plus a 65-yard touchdown reception.
Stone Bridge (4-0) ground out a 65-yard drive to start the game, capping it with a 32-yard direct snap play to Allen. When Loudoun Valley failed to gain a first down on their first drive, Stone Bridge engineered a 48-yard scoring drive to go up by two touchdowns.
The Vikings' subsequent drive ended when Stone Bridge defensive back John Bladel intercepted a pass and returned it 15 yards into the end zone, giving Stone Bridge a 21-0 lead with 3:47 left in the first quarter.
On Stone Bridge's next possession, Loudoun Valley defensive back Chris Regan intercepted a Thompson pass, but the Vikings were pinned deep in their own territory and got a safety when the deep snapper overshot the punter.
Loudoun Valley's sole score of the first half came on a fourth-down fake punt when quarterback Iain Mottice found receiver Onzy Elam for a 58-yard touchdown.
Loudoun Valley's fans were loud all night, hardly quieting even in the second half, when the referees ran the clock continuously. When Stone Bridge failed on a fourth down conversion, leading 57-6, Vikings fans began chanting "overrated, overrated."
Overrated or not, Stone Bridge far outmatched the Vikings.

I love it...SB pulls their starters for the second half of every game and still beats teams by more than 50 points. Yeah, sure...they're overrated. Do people realize that? Starters for two quarters--that's it. SB could easily put up TRIPLE digits if they leave the first string in for the game.
