CORRECTION: The original version of this story incorrectly report the ages of the three victims. The ages of the three victims are 19, 20 and 21.
Three men were wounded last night in a residential area of Sterling in what authorities said was a drive-by shooting.
The men, ages 19, 20 and 21, were standing near East Poplar Road and South Buckingham Court about 9 p.m. when a car approached and at least one gunman opened fire.
The men were taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital, and their conditions were not known.
The investigation has so far revealed that the victims were standing at the intersection when a two-door vehicle passed by. The vehicle then returned to the area and shots were fired from the vehicle. Kraig Troxell, a spokesman for the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office, said authorities were looking for a green or teal two-door sedan in connection with the shooting.

Who will the sheriffs office blame now that they cannot blame Pepe's Restaurant for the shootings?

Maybe the disaffected scum that patronized Pepe's?

From Sup. Eugene Delgaudio's email last night:
"At yesterday's meeting I lamented the fact that there were shootings and a stabbing on Saturday night in Sterling and I asked the board to support me in a request to have the Sheriff come to a closed session meeting of the board at our next meeting and that the Public Safety Committee receive a full report at its next meeting on the leap in violent crime in Sterling.
The motion was discussed and passed. Some supervisors did not have the sense of urgency on the matter. One supervisor actually attempted to put off a closed door meeting. Another actually abstained.
After some discussion, seven supervisors (one abstain and one absent) ended up voting to urge a private and public briefing in order to get to the bottom of why Sterling is suffering from an increase in violent crime.
How many shootings, stabbings and other violent attacks have there been in Sterling in the past year? Too many and there has been a big increase. Most of the victims have been transient men and women in these boarding houses that the county seems to not be able to find.
I condemned these attacks on Hispanic residents on May 20 and again in other public interviews. Violent criminals who the authorities declare as engaging in "gang-related" crime are attacking this vulnerable
group of people who live here.
This liberal board ignores the illegal alien problem and ignores the illegal alien criminal that is a fugitive from their home country's prison and has come here. They "welcome" illegal aliens along with the
illegal alien who is a violent criminal."

Sterling is turning into a crime-ridden slum but the BOS does nothing.

AFF3, your people are making an idiot out of apologists like you, lately. It's getting really hard to convince people that all of the rapes, stabbings, shootings, thefts that are being perpetrated should be overlooked.
.
I'm not fooled

Put yet another push pin (might have to start stacking them on top of each other since there are so many) in the part of Sterling overrun with illegal immigrants.

bescott80---Oh, I get it, you think Pepe's was an upscale restaurant that was frequented by highly educated people with money to burn! If so---you are delusional!

The illegal aliens came and the crime went up along with the boarding houses and resulting quality of life for everyone. If the supervisors can't see this or choose to ignore or even welcome it, then they can be replaced.

How about the sheriff office finally listen to the community when we tell them of the overcrowding in our "cesspool" and take the hint that we know what goes on here. If you see a house with a screen door that is always open, then it closed for a long period of time, that is a hint that it is a boarding house! I have one across the street from me that I "turned in" and where is our preciouse Eugene now? Living in his house in Fairfax? He sure as poo isn't here in Sterling.

Maybe we can take our streets back.
