Two people who were stuck in their Ford Crown Victoria after it was partially submerged in water near the intersection of Old Ox Road and Cedar Green Road, were removed from the scene uninjured, said Jim Barnes, public information officer with the County.
"This car was up to its doors in water and people couldn't get out," said Kraig Troxell, spokesman for the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. The ages of the people in the car are not yet known, he said.
Elsewhere in the county, Mountain Road in the Hillsboro area is blocked by a tree, said Barnes. The Ashburn Farm Parkway, which had been closed, now has one lane open, he said.
