Officials in Loudoun reported no major injuries as of 4 p.m. even as rains flooded and closed roadways, and caused power outages and traffic light malfunctions.

Since as of 4 p.m., 4.85 inches had fallen at Dulles International Airport, and 6.19 inches at Leesburg Executive Airport.

Officials said they'd be monitoring water levels in creeks and streams throughout the County into the night, and possibly tomorrow.

"A lot of times even after the rain stops, the streams and rivers will crest several hours later which may lead to unexpected flooding," aid Kraig Troxell, spokesman for the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Depending on when the rain stops, "The crest could come early tomorrow morning," Troxell said.

19 traffic accidents occurred in the County since 10 a.m., Troxell said.

Currently 315 Dominion customers are without power in Loudoun. This is after about 5,000 Loudoun customers lost power due to a circuit that was "de-energized" for an unknown reason, said Dominion spokeswoman Le-Ha Anderson. Dominion re-routed power and by 3:15 most of those customers had power restored, she said.
