Authorities are investigating a burglary and a suspicious event in Sterling, along with a weapons violation charge in Ashburn, according to a daily report from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
- Larceny: A GPS unit worth $400 was stolen from a vehicle in the 21000 block of Southbank Street in Sterling around 10:30 a.m. on Friday.
- Weapons Violations: Three 15-year-old Ashburn boys are facing petitions for weapons violation after they allegedly discharged BB guns in the area of Ashburn Village Boulevard and the W&OD Trail in Ashburn shortly before 7 p.m. on Friday.
- Destruction of Property: A motion detector light was damaged at a home on Holborn Court in Sterling around 11 p.m. on Thursday.
- Larceny: An MP3 player and a GPS unit, valued at a total of $400, were stolen out of a vehicle in the 22700 block of Highcrest Circle in Ashburn.
- Larceny: Someone entered three vehicles in the 42500 block of Angel Wing Way in Ashburn between 2 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday and stole cash, two GPS units, two cell phones, a laptop and a wallet.
- Destruction of Property: Someone spray-painted graffiti on a vehicle on Stafford Court in Sterling between 8 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
- Larceny from a Vehicle: An MP3 player, an MP3 charger and a cooler, worth a total of$439, were stolen from a vehicle in the 200 block of Cottage Road in Sterling between 8:30 p.m. Friday and 3:45 p.m. Saturday.
- Larceny from a Vehicle: Cash was stolen from a vehicle in the 20600 block of Reserve Falls Terrace in Sterling between 2 and 5 p.m. Saturday.
- Destruction of Property: Someone shattered the rear window of a vehicle in the 4100 block of Hickory Shade Lane in Lovettsville. The incident, which resulted in $5,000 in damage, occurred between Aug. 27 and Saturday.
- Larceny from a Vehicle: A briefcase and golf clubs, worth a total of $550, were stolen from a vehicle in the 42700 block of Hermitage Court in Ashburn between 10 p.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
- Larceny from a Vehicle: A digital camera was stolen from a vehicle in the 42500 block of Desoto Terrace in Ashburn between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Saturday.
- Suspicious Event: Someone was seen sleeping in the backyard of a home in the 45500 block of Hutchens Square in Sterling around 5:30 a.m. on Sunday. The person left the area when authorities arrived.
- Burglary: Someone entered a home in the 46800 block of Trumpet Circle in Sterling shortly before 2 a.m. today and removed a computer and a television worth a total of $2,400. The homeowner saw the suspect and described him as a Hispanic male, about 5'5" tall and a medium build, wearing no shirt and baggy jeans. There were no signs of a forced entry.
