The Town of Leesburg says that commuters through Leesburg should prepare themselves again on Monday for traffic delays due to a visit from Republican vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin.
Wednesday's rally with Sen. Barack Obama at Ida Lee Park drew more than 10,000 attendees and impacted traffic in and around Leesburg. Similarly, on Monday, motorists should expect traffic to be significantly delayed through the morning rush hour until early afternoon. The Leesburg Police Department is suggesting that commuters take alternative routes.
The Palin rally is being held at J.R.'s Festival Lakes and is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. with Palin appearing at 10 a.m. Gates will open at 7 a.m. The Town expects the event to draw 15,000 or more attendees.
While the rally is free and open to the public, those wishing to attend need to visit virginia.johnmccain.com to print a ticket.
Attendees should also be aware that the Town of Leesburg is not sponsoring the event and will have no officially provided parking or transportation. Limited parking is available at the venue on a first come-first serve basis. The public entrance for the rally will be from Fort Evans Road only.
For security reasons those attending should not bring bags, signs or banners.

Perhaps a sign of the level of planning we might expect from a McCain/Palin administration? Conduct an event that will be well attended, at a site with extremely limited access, and no parking.
Awesome. Should be a hoot.

Good News Rhumbline!! The Palin event, like all McCain events asks only for an RSVP, but in reality they never even ask for the PDF printed tickets when you get there. They Welcome everyone!

Either you have been misled, or you are purposely trying to paint the Republicans as trying to exclude (which is a patently false).
.
Now that you have been made aware that it's not exclusive, do you have the sack to show up?

With the same line of thinking from the previous poster, you think the Post could ask questions without using negative and frightening words, such as 'SCARED'. Come on what kind of questioning is this? Frankly, I don't look at my portfolio, I cashed in months ago. Why? Because Im preparing for an Obama administration which will violate every freedom and liberty we have, and no there not the same! In the coming years, we will see attacks, major world wide regrouping of countries under one united umbrella. Leading to a ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT, which will lead to the MARK OF THE BEAST, which will usher in THE TRUE MESSIAH WHICH ISRAEL REJECTED OVER 2000 YRS AGO. JESUS! OR IN THE HEBREW TONGUE YESHUA.
So no Im not afraid nor scared nor did I participate in your little survey. What shall you gain if you gain the whole world but lose your soul? Because you choose not to believe in the fulfillment of scripture biblically, doesnt mean its not true. On the contrary, DON'T BE DECIEVED. And just for clarification, Jesus, said, " No one knows the day, nor the hour (referring to his return), not even the angels in heaven, only my Father". NT GOSPELS . So all this hoopla about 2012, is a result of over zealousness and a yearning for anything that will usher in the Lords return, but still wrong.

LOL, liberals are funny. I will be there and anyone is welcome to go. Maybe some of the less informed Obama people can come and learn something.
Oh, and the Dems just called for a 25% cut in military spending. Pelosi tried to pass stricter environmental laws which would drive up the price of oil when a time it is already high. And the market you see now is a direct result of people thinking Obama is going to win. Did I mention the Dems caused the housing problems? LOL, wake up people and stop being sheeple. Vote for McCain/Palin.

People can go and learn why first hand why the GOP is going to LOSE big this cycle - Why? Because they are out of touch and out of their minds if they think Palin is a viable candidate for VP of the US.
Oh, and by the way. Cut military spending by 25% and the US still out spends everyone else in the world on military. Cushy contractors may not like it - but it may actually be better for the country to spend some money on thing other than death and
destruction.
You can also thank Texan Phil Gramm who also happens to be mccains finance expert (hahahahaha)for the housing mess - it was his legislation back in 2000 that created the unfunded credit swaps that are threatening the world markets - it wasnt welfare mommies and liberals - it was the GOP brain trust - or lack thereof.
LOL GOPers - things are about to change for the better. Only downside is now we will be forced to hear the ongoin whinning that will come from our friends on the right - AKA the crybabies.

I don't support or plan on voting for either of the major candidates, but it boggles my mind Obama supporters attack Palin on her lack of experience, when Sen Obama himself: 1. has no executive experience of any kind, and 2. spent 2 out of his 4 years in US senate campaigning and practicing speeches instead of learning about foreign and domestic policies.
Yes, it is true that should McCain be elected, Palin is one heartbeat away from presidency and that doesn't exactly comfort me; but Sen. Obama, if he wins, nobody even needs to die for him to be the President!
Truth be told, both the Dems and the GOP disgust me with their politics, and what this country needs is a strong third candidate to keep everyone honest. I never thought I'd say it, but Ross Perot, where are you?

GusinLeesburg,
Why don't you just go into the voting booth and vote "present" like Obama did his whole career.
Then after you do that, go do some research for yourself and form your OWN opinion. Stop giving the opinion of TV reporters who tell you how to think. It is refreshing to use your own brain. I suggest you try it.

My opinion is hardly based on what TV reporters tell me.
How un-insightful.

I thought Obamarx was visiting his dying Grandma ..? I guess she only rates a 24-hour visit. Maybe Obamarx still holds her racist remarks against her, or he's just can't stand to go without adoration for long periods of time.

Huh? Was that supposed to be funny? What does his grandmother have to do with anything? Let's discuss issues. Let's discuss how to dig out of the hole the republicans have dug for the whole country if not planet. Let's discuss the criminal and treasonous nature of the republican party on the whole and how they are selling our rights and liberties to the highest corporate bidder. Let's discuss how many republican faithful are in jail for corruption and lying. Let's discuss how we are going to turn this economy around for the middle class not the corporate class. Let's discuss how to put the ownership of the banks back in the hands of the shareholders and not the federal govenment in the form of a bailout - neccesitated by by poor fiscal stewardship of the GOP led administration and congress. Let's discuss something that we can all relate to rather than some kind of GOP conspiracy gibberish from some kind of little bigmouth punk.

RhumbLine ... I've seen YOUR lies, now. You've got an awful lot of pent up hate in you don't you?
I ESPECIALLY enjoyed how open-minded "Obamanites" are when confronted with a different opinion.
At rallies I have attended for McCain, there have always been Obama signs in the back...and we have always allowed those people a Constitutional right to express themselves.
I have yet to meet even one Democrat who has any fleeting idea of how the economy even works... so I don't need you to lecture me on how to get us back on track. Especially after Maxine Waters, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Chuck Schumer and Obama deliberately avoided dealing with the problem in a vote that immediately followed a speech in which McCain asked all of the Senate to vote for regulation in May of 2006. CSPAN and Youtube have the clip preserved for all time.

Now, regarding traffic, how is this worse than closing the Greenway and Rt. 15N at 4:30 on a Wednesday Rush Hour? Choosing a site adjacent to a Town with only two ways to get out? You could go back thru town to 7 to continue West (which was crawling), or you could sit in the parking lot on 15N.
JR Festival Lakes, conversely, is off of any major traffic artery, and can be bypassed a number of different ways.

Rhumbline...no need in being over censorious of your behavior as of late. You can reverse it all with a brand new beginning right now!! You can just start telling the truth, and all will be forgiven.

RhumbLine, I certainly hope you don't actually think Obama will be a change for the BETTER. All I can say is that he will certainly be a change - after all, wealth is better when it's being spread around, right comrade?
