Crime Blotter: Assaults, Missile at Dwelling

Authorities are investigating assaults in Ashburn and Sterling, a missile at a dwelling in Ashburn, and multiple thefts, according to a daily report from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office

- Theft: Copper pipes and fittings were removed from a construction site on the 500 block of Maple Avenue in Purcellville between 11 p.m. Thursday and 6 a.m. Friday. The estimated loss is $5,420.

- Suspicious Event: A 17 year-old female was approached by a male and asked if she wanted a ride on the 200 block of Maple Avenue in Purcellville between 8 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. Friday. The female said no and left the area. The subject was described as a white male in his late 40’s with a full beard. He was driving a red or orange passenger car.

- Assault: A 15 year-old male was reported being assaulted by several subjects after he got off a school bus on the 20800 block of Apollo Terrace in Ashburn at 4:42 p.m. Friday. He was approached by several teens who grabbed and assaulted him. The teen was taken to an area hospital as a precaution. The incident is being investigated by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Unit and Sheriff’s School Resource Officers.

- Suspicious Event: A resident of the 44400 block of Watertown Terrace reported that an unknown male knocked loudly and yelled outside his door at 11:40 p.m. Friday. The subject then tried to force entry into the residence, but was unable to gain entry.

- Theft: A digital camera, MP3 player and a purse with its contents were removed from a vehicle on the 46600 block of Fairway Drive in Sterling between 9 p.m. Friday and 12:04 a.m. Saturday. One of the credit cards from the purse was used to purchase gasoline in Sterling.

- Theft/Destruction of Property: An unknown subject entered two vehicles and damaged a center console in one of the cars on the 20400 block of Cool Fern Square in Ashburn between 6:30 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday. Small items were also removed from the cars.

- Theft: An MP3 player was removed from an unlocked vehicle on the 21300 block of Fultonham Circle in Ashburn between 2:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. Friday. The estimated loss is $263.

- Destruction of Property: Possible gang-related graffiti was spray-painted on a bleacher at Sterling Middle School on the 200 block of Holly Avenue in Sterling at 5:57 p.m. Saturday.

- Assault: A 17-year-old was found lying on the sidewalk of the 400 block of Maple Avenue in Sterling at 6:28 p.m. He stated he was pushed down by unknown subjects. The teen was found to be intoxicated and taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. There are no witnesses to the incident and the victim was uncooperative.

- Theft/Destruction of Property: An MP3 player was removed from a vehicle on the 45900 block of Regal Plaza in Sterling between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday. A rear passenger window was damaged to gain entry.

- Peeping: The victim reported seeing an unknown subject standing at the window of a residence on the 44100 block of Bristow Circle in Ashburn at 10:51 p.m. Saturday. A perimeter was established and a male subject was located and identified as the suspect in the incident. A second male was also located with the suspect. The victim declined to press charges on the peeping tom incident. Both men were charged with being drunk in public and held until sober.

- Missile at Dwelling: A brick was thrown at the window of a residence on the 21400 block of Glebe View Drive in Ashburn at 3:42 a.m. Sunday. The victim and several neighbors reported hearing voices of “kids” outside around the time of the incident.

- Theft: A drill and toolbox were removed from a garage on the 44300 block of Crow Court in Ashburn between 3 p.m. Friday and 1:54 p.m. Sunday. The garage had been left open, and the estimated loss is $100.

- Burglary: A business on the 42800 block of John Mosby Highway in Aldie was broken into at 3:34 a.m. Monday by damaging a glass door. Money was taken from the business as well as cigarettes and several watches. The case is being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.

Better yet, lets round up a GOP posse, run the suspected criminals out of Arlington, then say our solutions for the issues in Leesburg are working!
