This weekend, take a run through Leesburg and raise money for Loudoun Interfaith Relief, celebrate the fall harvest at Middleburg's Restaurant Festival or listen to the Loudoun Symphony Chamber Players perform classical pieces at the Franklin Park Arts Center.

Freeze Your Gizzard 5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Run

Leesburg Parks and Recreation, in partnership with Loudoun Interfaith Relief, is hosting the annual Freeze Your Gizzard Cross Country Run. The race will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Gazebo in the front field of Ida Lee Park. The entry fee is $20 for the 5K, and $10 for the 1 mile. Two cans of food, which will be donated to Interfaith Relief's food bank, must also be brought to the event.

Registered 5K-runners will receive a long-sleeve T-shirt and 1-mile runners will receive a race medal. Refreshments will be offered after the race.

Celebrate the Harvest: Middleburg Restaurant Festival

Middleburg restaurants along Washington, Federal, Pendleton, and Madison Streets will celebrate the harvest on Saturday by offering menu specials featuring fresh local produce and meats, as well as Piedmont wines.

Participating restaurants include Annie's, Goodstone, Back Street Café, Coach Stop, The French Hound, the Upper Crust, Salvia, Red Fox Inn, Mello Out, Hidden Horse Tavern, Home Farm and Market Salamander. Walk-ins are welcome. For more information on menu specials, contact the restaurants.

Loudoun Symphony Chamber Players

The Loudoun Symphony Chamber Players is returning to the Franklin Park Arts Center this Sunday at 3 p.m. Concert programs are available on the symphony's website. The concert tickets are $12 for adults, and $10 for seniors. Ages 18 and under are free. To purchase tickets from the Box Office, call 540-338-7973.
