Loudoun Valley 11, Halifax County 0
Perrin Radabaugh and Hailey Tretick each went 3 for 5, leading Loudoun Valley's offensive outburst during its 11-0 victory over host Halifax in the Virginia AAA Northwest Region tournament semifinals.
The win clinched a berth for the Vikings in next week's Virginia AAA tournament. Loudoun Valley, which competed in the Cedar Run District for the first time this season, will play at Battlefield on Friday at 6 p.m. for the region title.
"We had to fight so hard to get out of our district that it makes these games seem not so tough," Loudoun Valley Coach Joe Spicer said. "I just think playing in our district — which is really tough — has helped us out a lot."
