The list includes projects funded and administered by Loudoun County and private developers as well as those overseen by VDOT.

The extension of Battlefield Parkway from Kincaid Boulevard to Route 7 in Leesburg began in July and is expected to be completed by fall 2009. The project includes a four-lane, median-divided road; two bridges crossing the Washington and Old Dominion Trail, Tuscarora Creek and its flood plain; a bike and pedestrian path; and a noise barrier wall for the Kincaid Forest community. The estimated cost is $35 million.

Anytime a traffic light is eliminated from Rt 7 or Rt 28 is a good day for Northern Virginia drivers. I actually *like* driving on 28 now; it's almost like the friggin' Autobahn.

What about Gloucester Parkway extension from Ashburn Village Blvd to Loudoun County Pkwy and then to the Interchange being built at Nokes Blvd and Rt 28?
This connection will relieve the congestion on Waxpool road as it will provide an alternative route for people going into Ashburn Village
