The owners of the Dulles Greenway said this week that their third annual Drive for Charity event raised $198,000.
The money -- which represents all the tolls collected on May 15 -- will be donated to the March of Dimes, the Loudoun County chapter of the Special Olympics, the Loudoun Abused Women's Shelter, Fresh Air/Full Care and the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy.
Some of the proceeds also will fund 12 Dulles Greenway scholarships given to Loudoun County high school seniors.
The event raised $15,000 more than last year's Drive for Charity, officials said.

The Greenway is crying that that they are losing money & need to raise tolls, yet they can afford to give away money - what's wrong with this picture?

It's great when any organization takes steps to give back to the back to the community. Our legislators are taking action about the tolls and they need support on election day - next primary is June 10.It's likely more people took the road that day b/c of the event!
