The flood watch issued yesterday by the National Weather Service in Sterling is set to expire today at noon. Last night's rains, added to the heavy rains that fell over the weekend, could produce flooding.
While the flood watch is expected to end at noon today, light rain is expected in the area throughout the afternoon, with a possiblity of thunderstorms. While this afternoon's weather is not expected to be severe, according to the National Weather Service, damaging winds are possible in any storm.
The National Weather Service warns that residents who live in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to action should such conditions develop.
