Purcellville is easing water use restrictions after increased rainfall over the last several weeks.

The town announced that it is moving from mandatory restrictions to voluntarily restrictions. Residents are still being asked to conserve water and some restrictions remain in place.

The following restrictions are still in place:

- Residents are allowed to water their lawns on even or odd days based on their address.

- Developers and residents aren't permitted to install seed or sod unless they don't use Purcellville water.

- No community car washes are allowed.

- No use of any outside fountains, or decorative water structures.

- Restaurants/cafeteria/other food establishments shall provide water only by the patron’s request.
